Thank you for your interest in fostering homeless cats for Black Cat Rescue! We are not currently accepting new foster homes.
Foster Volunteers are the heart and soul of Black Cat Rescue. All of our rescued cats and kittens are cared for in foster homes throughout Massachusetts. Black Cat Rescue does not have a physical animal shelter, so we can only take in a homeless cat when we have a foster home ready to provide temporary care. You can directly save cats’ lives by fostering.
As a Black Cat Rescue Foster Volunteer, you will care for a homeless cat or litter of kittens in your home until the cat is adopted. Foster Volunteers are responsible for providing a safe and loving home, food, and fresh water for foster cats. Veterinary care is provided by Black Cat Rescue. Our foster terms generally range from several weeks to several months with the average being around three months. Potential adopters will meet cats available for adoption in your home. It’s wonderful for adopters to have the opportunity to view our cats in a home environment.
